There was a problem with some types of Fonts that has been fixed by the Snow Leopard Font update: If you updated to 10.6.7 then you should (go to your Apple menu at the far left and) check for updates. oh wait! I think it only took a minute to break! I would in a minute!! Nothing takes a minute though. after all its a MAC! If I can revert back to 10.6.5 or 10.6.4 (if thats right?) without a problem.
Updates are recommended and as far as I was concerned. its unfortunate that these problems affect so many people - students and professionals can't afford the time it takes to fix errors or issues that shouldn't have been delivered in the first place. I hope that this helps as it is hard to get a straight answer.
Photoshop cs2 update for mac#
Simply changing an image from RGB to CMYK - no other changes and saving as a new name - jpeg to jpeg - the error I received was "Could not complete your request because of a program error." What should I do now! Any recommended update SHOULD enhance a program or OS system - NOT worsen the program or OS system!? Please test your update properly before sending to the masses! What can I do now to fix the damage and go back to the OS that worked? Please advise and send a message out to explain errors and fixes for Mac users! Customer service and consumer appreciation and trust is needed, again, quick, as I have doubts that MAC is as stable as I once thought! thank you! Unfortunately, CS2 Photoshop has its own errors now! It was also working just perfectly until the update. And newcomers should find additional temptation in the $599 price-$50 less than the previous version.I have always thought that uploading updates is recommended but the last two updates 10.6.7 and 10.6.6 has caused major issues with CS2! Issues with fonts in Illustrator - ones that worked just fine the day before are now "bad fonts" and today - I read the 10.6.7 was to fix the font issues. In short, all Photoshop users will find something of value in this dynamic upgrade.
Photoshop cs2 update tv#
Videographers will cheer Photoshop's new ability to preview images on a FireWire-connected TV monitor. Photography pros will welcome the support for 32-bit HDR images. Enhanced Camera Raw support includes background processing of multiple Raw files. The Liquify filter now works with 16-bit images. The Warp transformation brings Warp Text–like arching and bulging effects to layers. The Lens Correction filter compensates for barrel and pincushion distortion caused by camera lenses, as well as for chromatic aberration and vignetting problems. In addition to these new tools, Photoshop has inherited GIF animation creation from its Web-savvy cohort, ImageReady, which we hope is a sign that the two programs are merging into one. Here Photoshop outstrips the Elements version with additional control over individual color channels and JPEG artifact reduction. There's also filter for reducing noise in digital images, a long-overdue feature. (Experienced users will want to stick with the regular Healing Brush, since its results are more predictable.) The Red Eye tool effectively delivers one-click correction of flash-induced glowing in the eyes of people unfortunately, it's generally unsuccessful with the green glow of pets' eyes. The Spot Healing Brush is a simplified version of the already-pretty-darned-simple Healing Brush, eliminating the initial Alt-click to set a source point for the tool. In this update, Photoshop has borrowed a few tricks from its offspring Photoshop Elements. There are significant trade-offs-for instance, you can't apply filters to Smart Objects-but layer styles, blend modes, opacity changes, and most distortions are permitted. Imported vector art from Illustrator can also be made a Smart Object, allowing for lossless resizing.
Make copies of a Smart Object, and the copies will be updated to reflect any changes you make to the original object. Designate a layer as a Smart Object, and you can scale that layer down nondestructively, preserving the ability to restore the layer's original size at any time with no loss in quality. Smart Objects are another breakthrough feature.
